RECIPES | Lobster Stuffed Cannelloni with Classico Four Cheese Sauce

When I cook, I usually turn to pasta. It's not just because it's easy to prepare, but the recipe tend to have simple ingredients and never fail to impress the person eating it (I'm also not the best cook out there). My friends and I decided to cook Italian one night and decided to use one of my Classico sauces that I had - Classico di Parma Four Cheese to make a lobster-stuffed cannelloni.

EVENT | Ford Canada's Farm-to-Car Dinner at Actinolite Restaurant

How much do you know about what goes into making a car? I for one, didn't know at all what kind of materials or ingredients are used in creating a vehicle of any sort except for the typical plastic, petroleum, etc. When I was invited to a dinner to learn about Ford Canada's use of food by-products in their cars, I really had no idea what to expect. Food in cars? What?! After a wonderful dinner at Actinolite, I definitely left with my mind blown - the cars are really becoming greener and more environmentally friendly from the inside, and out.

LAUNCH | \MoRoCo Chocolat

One of Toronto's ritzy neighbourhoods, Yorkville wouldn't be the same without its popular luxury chocolat boutique, MoRoCo Chocolat.  Tucked away on Yorkville Ave., this whimsical spot not only offers amazing chocolate, but also has brunch, afternoon tea, dinner, and did I mention cocktails? 

I've been to MoRoCo on several occasions this year, whether to pick up some macarons or meet up with a friend for brunch, since my last post on MoRoCo. This post in particular features their new cocktail and dinner menu items for the season that I was invited to preview two weeks ago.

Wah Sing Seafood Restaurant is one of those restaurants I went to with my family since I was little and always forget to recommend it to others - it's like a friend that you stop appreciating because they're always there for you (maybe not the best way to describe a restaurant). For one, it's the newly designed space that is modern and cozy;  another is a wide range of new menu items that is traditionally French but with influences that Chef Daniel Boulud soaked in from cooking and dining around the world in different cultures.

Can you believe that we've stepped into August, nearing the end of summer? Just over a year ago, Yasu Sushi Bar opened in Harbord Village, sending a buzz around Toronto about the newest spot for the best nigiri.  We, of course were intrigued and couldn't wait to try it - what took us so long, right? Finally, we made reservations and experience the sushi-only omakase at Yasu, first hand.

Omakase translates to a meal, comprised of Chef's selections.  Yasu offers an 18-course Chef-selected nigiri meal with a dessert at the end.

REVIEW | Gladstone Hotel's Cafe

Queen street is one Toronto's streets that has so much to offer, not just for tourists but for locals as well. With charm, style, and plenty of shops and parks to take a stop by, you will find something new every time you take a walk through all the neighbourhoods branching off it.  Celebrating its 126th birthday, The Gladstone Hotel is definitely not a stranger to Torontonians as you have probably visited for food, drinks or even a staycation!  Last week, I stopped by for dinner at the hotel's cafe - for the first time!

When I heard about Blinco's Crepes & Coffee opening just a few blocks away from me, I couldn't wait to try it out.  Blinco's had its grand opening just yesterday so it's really new to the neighbourhood. If you're in Etobicoke like myself, this may become your new crepe spot.

For all you fellow foodies that work downtown, you may or may not see me enjoying a glass of Cava and munching on some delicious bar snacks after work hours at Nota Bene Restaurant for the next month or so.  Why? RECIPE | Curry & Yogurt Chicken with Roasted Vegetables

I'll be honest, I don't cook a lot. Clara's more of the home cook/baker, while I tend to eat out at restaurants more often then not.  However, I do try to prepare lunch to take to work everyday, which is almost always a salad with my protein of choice: chicken. It does get boring though.

I was looking through some chicken recipes to try (easy and quick is a must for me) this weekend on Ricardo Cuisine called the "30-minute chicken & vegetable curry" and decided to give it a try - of course, with my own spin on it. I call it, Curry & Yugurt Chicken with Roasted Vegetables!

REVIEW | Chef`s plate - Restaurant quality dishes in your very own home!

Chef's Plate is similar to Fresh Canteen (read our review here) which lets busy business people enjoy their time to the maximum without having to sacrifice quality. We all know what its like to work 9-5, commute home only to be too tired to do anything... So what do we turn to? Fast foods and dishes that probably aren't all that healthy for us. Chef's Plate solves that dilemma by delivering fresh ingredients to your door to make dishes that are worth sitting down for.

LAUNCH | Buonanotte Supper Club

We were treated to a special tasting of a Summer Menu at Ristorante Buonanotte in the heart of Toronto's entertainment district.  It is actually located in a quiet street off John St, and Wellington St., which is why I've never heard or seen it, even though I wok 5 minutes away.  I didn't really know what to expect for dinner as I did some research beforehand and there were a lot of disappointing reviews about this place.  But, I went with an open mind as it would be my first time dining there!
